Abstract: An investigation was conducted into how Japanese students apply moral norms to humans and robot agents. The result revealed that they applied the same moral norm to both. This result was different from that of a former experiment done by Malle et al. A possible interpretation discussed is that such a difference would be caused by the participants’ cultural or academic background.
